As a member of the Home Care and Hospice Association of Colorado, you gain access to support and resources that can make the difference between surviving and thriving as a home care or hospice care agency. HHAC is the only trade association representing the home care and hospice industries in Colorado.

Advocacy

One of the most powerful advantages of membership in the Home Care and Hospice Association of Colorado is the access and influence provided on state legislative issues and regulatory processes.

  • Members receive updates on recent, potential and upcoming changes in the home care and hospice industries, on both the state and national level. 

  • Members gain a powerful voice in state and federal legislative and regulatory issues affecting the home care and hospice industries, issues that directly impact the cost of doing business. HHAC’s talented lobbying team meets regularly with legislators and regulatory agency staff to give a voice to home care and hospice needs and concerns as proposals are considered and implemented. HHAC also sponsors a Political Action Committee to support candidates for the Colorado Legislature who value home care and hospice.

    • Members have full voting rights on critical matters.

    • Members have the opportunity to participate in the HHAC Legislative/Regulatory Council to influence how HHAC focuses its resources and efforts. 

  • Members have an increased opportunity to communicate with and educate legislators concerning the impact of pending legislation with support from HHAC’s advocacy team.

Members are kept informed of news and developments that impact home care and hospice in Colorado.

  • Members receive regular email newsletters  on the latest happenings.

  • Members have access to news articles, columns and announcements specifically related to home care and hospice.

  • Members share information on a community forum dedicated to pressing issues.

 

Education

Members have access to continuing education at discounted rates, as well as other resources to help them stay informed, engaged and empowered to succeed.

  • Throughout the year, HHAC provides educational conferences and seminars to satisfy continuing education requirements. Members attend at discounted rates.

  • We contract with the Corridor Group, an e-learning company, to deliver continuing education to our members at a 25% discount.

  • Members receive a 10% discount for eLearning Exchange Programs designed to meet CMS, OSHA, Joint Commission, CHAP, ACHC and HIPAA requirements.

 

Networking and Influence

Members can meet and network with their peers and industry leaders and have an increased opportunity to have their voice heard by policymakers and members of the media.
