2021 Southwest Education Series: Advanced Coding through the PDGM Looking Glass

This workshop is the first event in the 2021 Southwest Virtual Education Series collaborative.

This 4-hour course will provide education regarding intermediate and advanced coding principles.  The learner will have the opportunity to work through complicated scenarios to apply the knowledge.  This course provides a focus on the education required to apply the coding principles as they relate to PDGM in Home Care.

This workshop has been approved for three (3) HCS-D (Home Health) or HCS-H (Hospice) CEUs from BMSC for attendees that successfully participate in the LIVE version of the program (participants will be required to sign-in and out of the program and complete an evaluation form).

Learning Objectives:

  1. Enhance the knowledge of the learner on the impact of coding on Clinical Groupings and Comorbidity Adjustments.
  2. Educate the learner on accurate, ethical coding to determine which codes apply and how they interact to affect reimbursement.
